Why separate purchases?

The macOS app is distributed directly to bypass App Store sandboxing limits (essential for SSH and service control). The iOS app is available exclusively via the App Store.

Does F-Bar replace the Forge dashboard?

No. It complements it.

Is the macOS app a subscription?

Yes. Yearly via Paddle.

Do I need both apps?

No. macOS works standalone. iOS is a companion.

What happened to the old app?

Forge is retiring the APIs the old F-Bar used. The old macOS app will stop working on March 26th, 2025. This version is a complete rebuild using Forge's new API.

Do I need to pay again if I bought the old macOS app?
